Obituary of Virginia Puscas

Pu?ca?, Virginia "Maia" Born in the city of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, on the 12th of March 1923. The majority of her life she worked as a secretary at Clubul Sportiv Universitatea Cluj. Her beautiful looks and her elegant manner easily won Mihai Pu?ca?'s heart. The two were married on the 17th of July, 1949. They had two daughters Mihaela and Laura. Education was always a priority in her household, and Maia and Mihai went through great efforts to ensure that their daughters grew up with a distinguished and honorary education. Mihaela graduated with a Masters Degree in Physics, and Laura graduated with a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mihaela had a son, Razvan, and Laura had two sons ?erban and Horia. Maia helped raise her three grandchildren with much love and care, and her three grandchildren certainly felt that and in turn adored her back. The two daughters immigrated to Canada, and after a short period brought Maia with them to Toronto, and later to Windsor. Maia lived the rest of her life in Canada where she was able to live through her 3 grandchildren getting married, and was even able to attend the baptism of her great grandchild, Lucas. Among her friends and community she is certainly well known for her colorful knitting patterns, not to mention the speed with which she knitted. Among her family and close relatives she is known for her quiet nature and her strong religious beliefs. She loved her family and in turn her family loved and respected her. With three last deep breaths of air she died peacefully while lying in her bed on the morning of March 23rd, 2016. The elegance with which she lived 93 years of her life certainly carried into her death, and will no doubt move forward with her in her afterlife. Visitation will be held at Our Lady Mount Carmel Church (4401 Mt. Royal Drive) on Tuesday April 5, 2016 from 12 noon until time of Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. In memory of Virginia, donations may be made to Compassion Canada. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East.
