Obituary of Lorraine Blanchette

Blanchette, Lorraine (Nee Jolicoeur) May 23, 1930-March 30, 2016 With sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother into the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ on March 30, 2016. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Albert "Bert" (2003). Loving and devoted mother to Sherryl & husband Jeff Moor, Valerie & late husband Claude Lacoursiere, Diane & husband Michael Chiasson, Chris & wife Charlotte Blanchette. Cherished M"m" to Natalie, Nicholas and Sarah Chiasson, Brian and Jillian Blanchette, the late Justin Lacoursiere (2012) and loving Grand-m"m" to his children, Kortney, Justin (JR), Kaitlyn, Jla, Ashton and Abigail. Survived by her sisters, Pearl (Gerry) Dube, and Pauline (Tom) Hale and predeceased by her brothers Ray (Rosalie) Jolicoeur and Don (Linda) Jolicoeur. Predeceased by her parents Rene & Rose (nee Beneteau) Jolicoeur. She will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. A special thank you to granddaughter, Natalie for her extra care and compassion to Mom and the family during her final months. Lorraine was a graduate of St. Mary"s Academy in 1948. She achieved Grade 9 piano from the University of Toronto " Royal Conservatory of Music, graduated with a Medical Laboratory Technology diploma from Holy Names College and practiced at Grace Hospital in Detroit until 1960. Mom"s marvelous baking will be missed. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd E, 519.253.7234 on Friday, April 8 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Parish Prayers will be held at 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Parish (711 McEwan) on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness, memorial donations may be made to a Trust Fund for Kortney, Justin, and Kaitlyn in c/o Valerie Lacoursiere.
