Obituary of Marie Elizabeth Young

YOUNG, Marie E. October 16, 1936-March 20, 2016 Passed away peacefully at the age of 79 years. Reunited with her parents Patrick and Elizabeth Young. Cherished sister to Patricia Romanko (Edward) and Ruth Ann Bradley (Thomas). Dear aunt to James Romanko (Judi Ryan), Anne-Marie Romanko (Ken Hudak), Catherine Lamoureux (Brian), Thomas Bradley (Lori) and Jeffrey Bradley (Kelly). Grand aunt to Peter Romanko, Sean Romanko, Rachel Romanko, Kellie Lamoureux, Paige Lamoureux, Dylan Bradley, Kyle Ryan, Brandon Ryan and Megan Ryan. Marie was a graduate from Hotel Dieu Hospital and worked as Head Nurse at Riverview Hospital and Windsor Western IODE Hospital. She was a volunteer for the Historical Society Museum Group and Red Hat Society. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E on Wednesday March 23, 2016 from 6-9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Thursday March 24, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Chapel. Burial of cremated remains will take place at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to one of her foundations; Hospice of Windsor, Windsor/Essex County Humane Society or House of Sophrosyne.
