Obituary of Irene Frances Szymanski

SZYMANSKI, IRENE (nee Birce) Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Southwood Lakes on March 15, 2016 at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Stanley (1985). Loving mother of Mike and wife Julie, late Janet Drouillard and survived by her husband David, Carol Lanoue and husband Roger, Don and wife Pauline, Pat Klimkowski and husband Mike, Sharon Breschuk and husband Jim and Diane Constable. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Reta Birce. Survived by 16 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Sandra McIlory and husband Stuart. Predeceased by Evelyn Barrett, Edward Birce, Jo-Anne Ryan, Audrey Bennett and Frances Roberts. Irene was much loved by many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the R.C.L. Auxillary and social member of the Legion, Centre for Seniors of Windsor, R.T.U. Volunteers and former member of the Sweet Adelines and Windsor Girl Guide Association. She was the proud recipient "Volunteer of the Year", for the Windsor Star Community Choice Award. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday April 30, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m with prayers at 1:30 p.m. Interment to take place at Heavenly Rest Cemetery on Monday May 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome.
