Obituary of John Battista Marazita

MARAZITA, John Battista It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a loving father, husband and friend on March 6, 2016 surrounded by all those who loved him. Dearest husband and best friend of Mary (Nee Fiorvento) for 35 years. Devoted father of David and Robert. Predeceased by his parents Antonio and Rosetta and mother-in-law Serafina. Survived by his father-in-law Giuseppe. Dear brother of Mario Marazita and brother-in-law of Lee and wife Paula Fiorvento. Dearest uncle of Sara and husband Jason Balsdon, Michael Fiorvento, Matthew Fiorvento and dearest "big uncle" of Sofia Balsdon. John will be remembered by his uncle John and wife Nina Marazita and his aunt Maria Lopez and late husband Felice. Also survived by many loving cousins. John would have not been able to travel this journey without the love and support of Vince Marazita and Michael Rocheleau. John was a dedicated employee of Hiram Walker for over 30 years, a devoted member of the hockey community, and a diehard Maple Leaf fan. Above all, John"s greatest joy in life was his children. A special thank you to the staff at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus- ICU unit for all of their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East on Wednesday March 9, 2016 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. On Thursday March 10, 2016 relatives and friends are invited to gather at St. Anne"s Church (12233 Tecumseh Road East) for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
