Obituary of Helen Slavik

SLAVIK-Helen (Nee Solcz) Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 2, 2016 at 86 years of age. Reunited with her loving husband William (1992). Loving mother of Mary Ann Fathers (Gary), Catherine Barkovich, Bill Slavik (Pat), and Christine Hugall (Stephen). Dear Gramma of Keith, Kelly (Ryan), Kevin, late Kyle (1996), Brendan (Jess), Steven, Meagan, Michael and Lauren. Great grandma to 7 grandchildren. Dear sister of Michael (Doreen) Solcz, Agnes (Roger) Marentette the late Steve (late Virginia) Solcz and the late Mary (late Morris) Verhaeghe. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Helen was a dedicated parishioner of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Slovak Church and was the head cook for the St. Cyril Slovak Hall for many years. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East on Friday March 4, 2016 from 2 to 5pm & 7 to 9pm. Prayers Friday at 7:30pm. Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday March 5, 2016 at Good Shepherd Church (St. Gregory's Site) 13789 St Gregory's Rd, for visitation from 10am until time of Helen's funeral mass at 10:30am.
