Obituary of Maite aka Michael Russ

RUSS, Mike Passed away peacefully on February 19, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband of Helen (nee Sitari). Dear father of Dan, Bob, Mary, Joe and Debbie. Extremely proud grandpa of 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his 2 brothers and 3 sisters, John, William, Mary, Elena and Kitza. Mike was a member of the original Spitfire Hockey Team in 1945-1947 in the OHA, also in the IHL. Mike started his trade at the Canadian Bridge Company. He was a long standing member of Ironworkers Local 700 and Michigan Local 25. Establishing M. Russ Ltd., and never really retiring. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at 2 North of Dr. Y. Emara Centre for Healthy Aging and Mobility for all of their care and compassion. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Tuesday February 23, 2016 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday February 24, 2016 at St. Vladimir"s Ukrainian Orthodox Church (2000 Tecumseh Rd. E) at 10:30 am.
