Obituary of Rita Lenarduzzi

Rita Mary Lenarduzzi (Nee Nazarkiewicz) January 26, 1953 " February 19, 2016 After a year-long battle with cancer, Rita passed away peacefully in her sleep at Metropolitan Hospital in Windsor at age 63. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Edward, and her beloved son, Kyle. Dear sister-in-law to Debbie and Dan Docherty, and aunt to Rick (Michelle), Chris (Cristina), and Corey (Nicole). Reunited with her mother and father, Mary and John Nazarkiewicz. Her small family circle was enriched by her many close friendships; Rita will always be loved and remembered by the Kolody, Chapman, Gauthier, Ostopovitch, Anderson, Cirovski, Attwood, and Vachon families. Rita was known for her optimism and selfless generosity; she remained brave and jovial until her final moments. Rita"s family would like to thank the medical staff who helped care for Rita, including the entire oncology department at Metropolitan Hospital and especially Dr. Dale Ziter and his staff, Sue and Liz, for their long-time dedication and support. Visitation at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell. on Monday, February 22, 2016 from 2pm to 5pm and from 7pm to 9pm. Followed by cremation.
