Obituary of Walter Kolodziejski

It is with heavy hearts that the Kolodziejski family announces the peaceful passing of their beloved Walter on February 16, 2016 surrounded by his family at the age of 91 years. Born in Czestochowa, Poland Walter travelled to Canada after surviving the Holocaust from 1941-1945, where he met his late wife Anna (1965). Beloved father of Danny (Sharon), Mona (Carlo) Raco, Robert (Sophie - 2009) and late Susan (1994) Kolodziejski. Cherished grandfather of Chelsea and Robert Kolodziejski, Matthew (Terri) and Brandon Raco. Proud great grandfather of Brooklin Raco. Dear uncle to Magdalena Adamczak. Walter will be missed by many nieces, nephews and family members in Poland. Walter served four years in the Merchant Marines and retired from Dominion Forge (1987). He was known by many for his love of his Family, Hockey and Music. Visiting will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 6 to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue in the Chapel, Saturday, February 20, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
