Obituary of Forrest Harry Brown
BROWN, Forrest H. Passed away peacefully on February 10, 2016 at 94 years of age. Reunited with his loving wife Muriel (nee Judd). Forrest was born in 1921 in Sedalia, Colorado. He was the son of the late Harry and Kate Brown. Brother of the late Lawrence (Velma) Brown, the late Frank (late Velma "Toni") Brown. Uncle of Steven (Diane) Brown, Jeffrey (Kristen) Brown, David (Hillary) Judd, Marilyn Kelly, Gordon (Priscilla) Judd, Nancy Blanchard, Ronald (Sheryl) Judd and Paul Judd. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews. After a three year term in El Guacio, a mission station in Puerto Rico under the Presbyterian Church in the United States, he then entered the field of engineering in the U.S. having been a graduate of Aeronautical Engineering of the University of Colorado. He worked for NASA in Huntsville, Alabama and was involved in the big endeavor of "putting the man on the moon". He made a suggestion for NASA which was accepted and for which he was named in "Who's who in the South and Southwest", and "Personalities of the South." He ended his engineering career working in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Detroit. He and Muriel moved to Windsor in 1980. He has always been active in church work, and was a longtime member of Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church. He played a big part in the Windsor-Essex Senior Games for which he was treasurer for several years. A heart felt thank-you to the staff at Heron Terrace especially the staff in Shallow"s Lane for their care and compassion. On Saturday February 27, 2016, relatives and friends are invited to gather at Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church (3200 Woodlawn) for memorial visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Wendy Paterson officiating. A private interment to follow. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East. In memory of Forrest, donations may be made to Presbyterian World Service & Development, World Vision Canada or to Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church.
