Obituary of Peter Kryworuk

KRYWORUK, Peter May 19, 1924- February 4, 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter at 91 years of age. Reunited with his loving wife and soulmate Maria (2013). Cherished father "Tato" to Lucia and late husband Ctibor Janek (2008) and Peter and wife Mary. Loving Dido to Stephanie Janek, Michael and Andrew Kryworuk. Brother to Ivan and the late Mychailo and survived by many nieces and nephews in Ukraine. Peter was a successful businessman for many years. He was the proud founder and co-owner of Wac Roofing & Construction Ltd. and the Best Western Continental Inn. Peter was a long time parishioner of Sts. Vladimir & Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church. He was also very active in the Windsor Ukrainian community serving in various leadership positions with the League of Ukrainian Canadians, Ukrainian Youth Association and Ukrainian Canadian Congress. A special thank-you to the caregivers at The Village of St. Clair for the loving and compassionate care they provided Peter. East on Sunday February 7, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda (Prayers) at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends will be received at Sts. Vladimir & Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church (601 Lake Trail Drive) on Monday February 8, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Tom Hrywna officiating and Rt. Rev. Fr. Eugene Halitsky co-officiating. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sts. Vladimir & Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church Building Fund, the Alzheimer Society of Canada or to a charity of your choice .
