Obituary of Norman Joseph Hosowich

Passed away peacefully January 10, 2016 at the age of 85. Reunited with his beloved wife Carol (2012) "They are angels together again". Loving father to Stephanie Hosowich, John & Jenny Hosowich and Julie & Myron Lew. Cherished Doodee to John, Joshua, Misha and Yuri, and recent great Doodee to Abigail and Owen. Uncle Norm will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Windsor and the US. He worked hard for many years as an engineer at the Ford Motor Company in Canada and the United States. Norm was a quiet, but strong man, yet earned the name "Stormin Norman". He shared his retirement years enjoying his family and took his wife on regular fun trips to the Casino. With his tender smile, he would listen carefully and gently gave great advice. His love and kindness will be sadly missed by his family and friends, and his "Bingo Ladies" in his building. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday January 14, 2016 at Heavenly Rest Cemetery (5005 Howard Ave.) from 11:30 am until time of service at 12:00 pm. Fr. Tom Hrywna Officiating. Following the services at the cemetery, family and friends are invited to a luncheon at the Teutonia Club. There will be a celebration of life tea to be held at the Hofburg Building (5064 Wyandotte St. E) on Tuesday January 19, 2016 from 4:00-6:30 pm. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors in the CCU at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan campus for all their compassionate care. Donations may be made in memory of Norm to your favourite charity. Online condolences may be shared at www.windsorchapel.com
