My dearest Jeanne .... many heartfelt thoughts and prayers are being sent your way. You have such a wonderful bond with family and I knew each of you treasure the other. That is so rare these days. It makes my heart feel warm, knowing the time you shared with your grandmother was always considered a gift for you. I didn't know your mom or grandmom, but I know they raised an incredible woman, so they had to be quite special. Hugs and Love, Loretta

Been having some good dreams about time spent with her over the last couple of days. Dear Great Grandma, Thank you for all the love you shared with me. Never was there a time where I saw you angry or upset. I always enjoyed visiting your home because I knew there would be plenty giggles, smiles (and never ending juice in 2L glass containers). We were all beautiful, gorgeous, and/or movie stars in your eyes. These words, while were not for the chosen few, they meant something to each and every one of us because we knew you meant them with the utmost sincerity. You were always giving and kind; always offering money when you had none to give. You always put the care and wellness of others first. Great Grandma, you''re one of the bravest souls I knew - packing your bags and venturing to a brave new world at 16, and going to a place where the language was not your own. I remember you helping me trace out a family tree when I was in elementary school. We talked for hours about all the Steve''s and Mary''s you knew back in Hungary in every small town. It still inspires me to travel to Hungary to this very day. You were an incredibly tough-willed woman, who I still can''t imagine having not been to a doctor for decades in your lifetime, meanwhile blessing us on this planet for over a century. It must have been all that healthy eating from all the vegetables you grew in your garden! I love you great grandma and for all these wonderful qualities you possessed. The world would be a blessed place if everyone loved and cared for one another the same way as you did. I''m so happy that my wife and son got to meet you! May you be the angel in heaven as you were on earth... Your great grandson, Justin

I am so sorry to hear of Mary's (or Mrs. Lendvai, as I always called her) passing. She is a part of many of my childhood memories from Campbell Ave. I remember her kindness, generosity, and loving spirit. My Mum, Laura Phillips, always spoke with great fondness about the many nights spent having sleepovers there with Jeanne, and even when we moved, would bring me over to visit any time we were visiting family on Campbell Ave. Her yard was always a treat for a child to play in, with all of the fruit trees, and the gardens, as well as the cats. Condolences to all of the family.

Sending our prayers to all of the members of your family as you send your dear Grandmother home. Though we did not have s chance to meet her, we enjoyed all of the stories that you shared about her with us, and we will hold onto those times always. We are grateful to have been able to grow beautiful relationships with some members of her family, and her legacy will live on in those who make up, and will continue to add to her family tree. We pray that in time, that you when you think of her, that you will feel at peace, and that you find happiness and laughter in all of the memories that she gifted to your families,. And as you move forward together, may you find joy again, at unexpected times, and in unexpected places. Bless Up. And Godspeed

Sorry to hear of the family's loss. Mrs. Lendvai was an amazing soul. Growing up across the street, you could always count on a lovely bouquet of lilacs in the spring and a bag of pears in the fall. Mary always gave and cared for her neighbours. Her like is sorely missed in this world today but the memory of her gives hope of what we can be. Love you Mary.

I am honoured and blessed to have known Great Grandma. She was a wonderful and gentle soul and will forever remain in our hearts. Such a brave woman who had so many wonderful stories. I loved stopping by the house on Campbell Drive after school to visit and hear her stories with Grandma. Every time, I was a beautiful movie star in her eyes. She was always happy with a smile. My deepest sympathies to all who Great Grandma has touched. Those who knew her were lucky people to experience her unconditional love.

My parents left me in Aunt Mary's care while they looked for employment and housing in the USA.I remember sleeping in a tiny room on the first floor, many nights next to her on a mattress on the floor, and her arms filled me with love that I will live with forever. Later on,after every visit with Aunt Mary, she would give us boys a "surprise box"(a small cardboard box)filled with comic books, homemade cookies and pears from her backyard tree. And last: Aunt Mary always greeted me with open arms and "Vaynee Dear"! I love you Aunty Mary. Wayne
