Obituary of Jeanette Virginia Brun

BRUN, Jeanette Virginia (nee Dominato)
January 28, 1938 - August 20, 2020
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother and loving Nonna with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Lino Brun (2003). Dear mother of Christina (Gary) MacDonald, Susan Brun, Robert (Nancy) Brun, Jerry (Corrine) Brun. Dear Nonna to Mason, Madeline, Delaney, Blake, and Gabriella. Pre-deceased by her parents Giovanni and Gilda Dominato (1961, 1964). Dear sister to Mary (2019) (late Reno), Mario (late Katherine), Joe, Valma (late Bruno), and Norma (late Robert). Cherished Zia to Agostino and Louise Brun and to many nieces and nephews in Canada and in Italy. Valued friendships with Armando and Irene Papais of Michigan, the late Rita and Daniel Rossit and the late Doris and Tarcisio Schincariol. She was a retired legal secretary for the better of her working years and extended the long arm of the law at home with her wooden spoon. Expressed her beloved past times of knitting etc... by constructing numerous heirloom blankets for family members and especially for the Rotary Club by knitting baby caps for newborns at the hospital. Jeanette was especially proud of her Canadian and Italian heritage by cheering on team Canada in curling and hockey and was a standing long-time member of the Giovanni Caboto Italian Women’s Club. A special thank you to the frontline workers for their dedicated care and kindness specifically her PSW care and the Metropolitan Campus 4 North care team. If you so desire, donations to the Rotary Club of Windsor would be appreciated by the family in lieu of flowers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E. 519-253-7234. Personal face coverings are required. Due to the COVID 19 restrictions in place from the Health Unit, a private family funeral service will take place. Reservations are not required for the visitation.
