Obituary of Joyce Florence Frickey

FRICKEY, Joyce Florence (nee McKim) Passed away peacefully at Sun Parlor Home for Senior Citizens, on December 25, 2015 at the age of 82 years. Re-united with her beloved husband Robert Edward Frickey (2007). Loving mother to Cheryl Middlemist (Paul) of Leamington, Joe Frickey (Sylvie) of Windsor, and predeceased by son John Frickey (2005). Cherished grandmother to Carrie (Allan), Gavin (Meaghan), and Hayley (Kurtis) Middlemist, and Andrew (Natalie) Frickey. Predeceased by her parents, Basil and Gertrude McKim. Dear sister to Naomi Chapman, Laurine Hupka (Don), and late Eleanor Karchuk and surviving husband Ted. Joyce was a retired teacher from the Windsor-Essex Public School Board, where she taught at Victoria, Prince Andrew, Colonel Bishop and Anderdon Public Schools. She had a crazy sense of humour but, teaching was the true joy in her heart. During her last few years, while battling Alzheimer's, she seemed to still tell everyone that she was a teacher. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
