Obituary of Robert Anthony Carom

CAROM, Dr. Robert Anthony "Bob" Passed away peacefully after a brief illness, in the presence of his loving family, on December 21, 2015 at the age of 76. Robert is re-united with his beloved parents, Fred (1956) and Adele (2010), and brother George (2002). Dear brother to Dr. Donald Carom (Laura), Diane Eid (LeRoy), and Peter Carom, and brother in-law to Pam Carom. Bob will be forever remembered and sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Robert graduated from Assumption University with a Master of Arts in Psychology in 1963 and a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. Dr. Carom was the Chief Psychologist at the former Windsor Western Hospital I.O.D.E. (presently HDGH, Tayfour Campus) before opening his own private practice at 960 Ouellette Avenue. Dr. Carom was the innovator and Director of his clinic, The Can/Am Neuro-Bio-Feedback Training and Research Center, which was instrumental in assisting with patient care and treatment. He will be missed by the many patients that he had the privilege and opportunity to serve. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the medical staff of Windsor Regional Hospital, Chartwell Royal Marquis, and Brouilliette Manor for their loving care, kindness and compassion shown to Robert and his family. At Bob's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family burial has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Robert's life will take place at a later date.
