Obituary of Danica Vranic

VRANIC, Danica (nee Katic) With broken hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, who did not live to be 100, as that was her favourite saying. Born April 8, 1932 in Slavonia, Hrvatska and entered into Eternal Life on December 22, 2015 at the age of 83. Re-united with her beloved husband Franjo (2003). Loving Mother to Mary (Mira) Azar (Charles), son Frank Vranic Jr., Diane Boin (Lucio 1994). Devoted Baka to Alison, Natasha, Nicko, Giordan, and Marcus. Dear sister to the late Slavica Lekic (2005) and surviving husband Anton, Miroslav Katic and wife Ljubica. Sadly missed by Nieces, Nephews, Kumovi, friends and neighbours. Danica was retired from the G.M. Trim Plant, and was a faithful devoted parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church. Danica had many talents, she touched many hearts with her cooking, baking, and thoughtfulness. She will be forever remembered by her family and friends for her storytelling, and her witty sense of humour. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Parish Prayers Wednesday at 8 pm. Funeral Services on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 9:15 am from the Funeral Home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to honour Danica"s life may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, Windsor and Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation or St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund.
