Just heard about Robert's passing. Edith and I extend of condolences to Robert's family. As many have said he was a genuine and caring individual. I grew up and lived in Windsor until I graduated from U of W. In fact my childhood home at 2173 Howard Ave. was next door to Robert's childhood home but not in the same years. And then I got to know him many years later during my years at Cogeco. His radiance and charm will be remembered for many years. John Juurinen

Dear Janice and family. This is Dale Molnar. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Rob's death. It doesn't seem real. 2020 really sucks and just keeps getting worse. I know this must be a terrrible time for you. I know it would be silly to say 'hope you get over it." but I do hope you and everyone will be okay. Please accept my deepest sympathies. Dale Molnar.

Robert and passion always went hand-in-hand. Whether it was his passion for community, his staff, or his sports teams - he always wore his heart on his sleeve. I appreciated him welcoming me into our Cogeco team and showing me the ropes back in 2007, to our regular calls to catch-up and share ideas. Sincere condolences to all of his family and friends.

What a loss! Rob and I started “Windsor Cable 11” together as the first TV producers. Our first shoot together was filming the Tall Ships when they came to Windsor. We were giddy with the new equipment and the endless possibilities that became YOUR TV Windsor. Rob was such a class act. I never saw Rob say a mean or harsh thing thing in the over 30 years we knew each other. Totally egoless. He handled the station and his life with grace and compassion. I know our community, his friends, family and everyone he touched over the years are all richer for knowing him My heartfelt condolences to his family and everyone in the YourTV family. I’m going to have a Jos Louis, put on “Born to Run” and remember my friend Rob. A very sad day. Peter Freele

We are shocked and saddened to hear of Rob's passing. We send our most heartfelt condolences to Janice, Michael and Steven, Paul and Endi, and to Rob's mother, who will always be known to me as Mrs. Scussolin. As our families grew up together, we taught each so many important lessons. Rob was one of those people that other people loved to be near. Through our shared love of sports, you taught me the importance of being a good winner, a good loser, and all about humility. I wasn't done learning Rob. You left too soon. I worked with Robert at Cogeco for many years and enjoyed our visits at our management meetings. We both shared a passion for baseball even though I really don't like the Yankees but the love of the game was our common bond. We even managed to squeeze a few golf games in the mix. Robert was one of the most caring guys I knew and he leaves a very large hole in our Cogeco family and the wider community.... My condolences to his family.

On behalf of the Cogeco Devonshire Store staff past and present, our very deepest condolences to the Scussolin family. Robert's frequent visits to the store were always a very welcome bright spot in our work days. I worked with Robert for 23 years and personally I will very much miss the chats we had, about our families, work stories, and the world in general. He showed such genuine interest in what people had to say. His room brightening smile and attitude was a rare gift and he spread it so generously. We will all miss this special coworker very much.

My deepest sympathies to Robert's family and friends. We worked together for over 30 years at Cogeco and I have so many memories of conversations and social events, from the Star Awards, office BBQ hot dog lunches, Bruce Springsteen or Neil Young concerts and he would comment on my Keith Urban fan club. Many a time, he would be at my office door asking for assistance and when I would jokingly say he was only allowed one visit per day, he would always make sure that "Hey this doesn't count as a meeting does it?" He will be so missed.

To The Family of Robert Scussolin: My thoughts and prayers are with all of Robert’s family and friends. I met Robert some years Ago at the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County and many other times since than. I found him to be a most personable and pleasant individual. He always had a smile on his face and was a real promoter for our Hospice. I have been a volunteer with Hospice since its inception 40 years ago and enjoyed his company at many of these functions. We shall all miss him and his upbeat attitude. A donation will be made to the Cancer Clinic in Windsor in memory of Robert. Take care and stay safe, Arleen Deschamps

I’m so very sorry to hear of Rob’s passing. I can’t believe I’ll never again hear that laugh or any of his wonderful stories about his family, especially his kids. I’ve known him a long time and enjoyed and valued every moment of it. When we last spoke last Fall, he said come visit - don’t be a stranger, we must get lunch! ... He was always so generous, kind, and thoughtful. Hardworking and quick witted, he could hold court with the best with his warmth and charm. Talented and loyal, he coached, mentored, and guided many successful careers and ambitions. There are few like him as he was a true gem; we can all be confident that knowing him made us, and the world, better. Heartbroken for your loss. Our deepest condolences, Jennifer Gates & David Monroe.

We've known Rob since the early days of GOGEO and that tacky studio on Elliot St in Windsor. Did a show or two with Rob in those early days and over the many following years always admired him as an up-beat, creative, chap who never could seem to turn down a good idea. at least from Lloyd's perspective. Rob was one of the most gentle and softly charming people I've been privileged to have met over the years. His passing at his very young age is a deep loss to the community and, we're sure, to his family and colleagues. Robert old buddy, we're certain that where you are now headed there will plenty of room for your creative and generous mind after all, Rob, even angels need a good Director and Producer. Our deepest sympathies for Rob's family, friends and associates. Dr. Lloyd and Marilyn Brown-John, Kingsville
