Obituary of Carmel Julia Hotham

HOTHAM, Carmel Julia (nee Reilly) Passed away peacefully surrounded in love by her family on December 21, 2015 at the age of 93. Predeceased by her husband John (Jack) 1992. Beloved mother of Bernard (Sue), Madelyn Stannard, Kevin (Jackie), Charles (Gail) and Martin (Teresa). Dear Nan to Brad Hotham, Allison Bluhm (Craig), Adam Hotham (Jesse), Andrew Stannard (Kristina), Michael Stannard, Matthew Hotham (Rebecca), Kyle Hotham (Tiffany), Melissa Van Haastrecht (Joel), Brett Hotham (Lindsay), Craig Hotham, Andrea Hotham (Greg), Steven Hotham, Ryan Hotham, and Quinn Moore. Great-Nan to Jaxson, Lilly, Avery, Emerson, Cruz, Zach, Nash, Carter, Reilly, Paige, Claire, Rhys, Jack, Evan, Bennett, Sophia, Noah, Jace, and Zoey. Carmel was a devoted homemaker and lived for her family. She was a lifetime member of the Catholic Womens League and received her 75 year pin in 2015. She was a long time parishioner of Christ the King Church, St. Martin De Porres and Corpus Christi. Carmel was also a member of Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary Holy Family Council Branch 4386. She was full of the old Irish spirit and will also be missed by her sister Geraldine Walencewicz and predeceased by 3 brothers, Vincent (Carma), John (Monica) and Charles (Mabel). She will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234. 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 4:30 p.m. Visiting will continue at Corpus Christi Church (1400 Cabana Rd. West) on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
