Obituary of Rose Straub

STRAUB, Rose (nee Fellinger) Peacefully with her family by her side on December 7, 2015 at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus at the age of 90yrs. Beloved wife of the late Peter Straub Sr. (1991). Loving and cherished mother of Peter and wife Tammi. Adored and cherished Oma of Hanna, Haley, Ethan and Zackary. She will be missed by her furry companion Missy. Rose had such an amazing life, she loved her family so much, having done and seen so many things. She was a survivor, having been placed in a concentration camp in Yugoslavia during World War II. She was a member of the Teutonia Club for many years. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East on Wednesday Dec. 9, 2015 from 2-5pm. and 7-9pm. Parish prayers Wednesday at 4:30pm. Relatives and friends are requested to meet on Thursday Dec.10, 2015 at St. John Vianney Church (385 Dieppe St.) from 10:00am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Essex County.
