Obituary of Onorato Mastrobattista

MASTROBATTISTA, Onorato Born January 9, 1937 in Lenola Latina, Italy and passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on November 26, 2015 in Windsor, Ontario at 78 years of age. Loving husband of Natalina (Nee Carroccia) with whom he would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on December 15, 2015. Adored Father of the late Maria (2013) (late Eugene) Travo (2008), Rita (Keith) Trottier and Josie (Chris) Thibert. Cherished Nonno of Amanda Travo, Jessica and Brian Trottier and Julia and John Thibert. Predeceased by his parents Saverio Mastrobattista and Cecilia Labbadia of Italy and son-in-law of the late Alfonso and Giuseppa Carroccia of Italy. Brother of the late Carlo (late Giovannina) Mastrobattista of Italy. Brother-in-law of the late Filomena (late Angelo) Marrocco, late Angelo (Assunta) Carroccia, late Maria (Biagio) Dimanno of Italy, late Alfredo (Giovanna) Carroccia, Immacolata (Angelo) Antogiovanni, Linducia (late Luigino) Pannozzo of Italy. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Windsor, USA and Lenola, Italy. Onorato was a proud member of LiUNA 625 and worked as a dedicated construction labourer for many years with Loaring Construction until his retirement in 2001. Above all, Onorato will always be remembered for his love and dedication to his family. Many thanks to Dr. J. Dattilo, Dr. J. Mathews, Dr. K. Schneider and all the oncology staff at WRH "Metropolitan Campus and VON nurses especially John. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Sunday November 29, 2015 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Services on Monday November 30, 2015 at 8:45 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
