Obituary of Alfredo Feregotto

Alfredo (Fredo) Feregotto December 11, 1924 - November 13, 2015 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Alfredo Feregotto announce the peaceful passing of their husband, father, nonno, and bisnonno, in his 91st year. He was born in Braulins, Italy and was the son of the late Antonio and Melania Feregotto; predeceased by his sister Elena (the late Antonio) and brother, Antonio. Fredo is survived by his loyal and loving wife of 64 years, Gisella (DeCecco); he was fiercely proud of his daughters Antonietta (Joe) Spina and Diana, and loving nonno to Kathy (Todd) McMullin, Julia and Thomas Kittner, and recent bisnonno to Avery Giselle McMullin. Fredo will also be missed by his sister-in-laws Maria DeCecco (late Silvio) of Windsor, Caterina DeCecco (late Silvio) of Italy, and Mirella Dell"Agnese (Romeo) of Switzerland; brother-in-laws Renato DeCecco (Ivanda) of Windsor, the late Guerrino (Vilma) of Italy, and the late Pietro. Beloved Barbe Fredo to his many nephews, nieces and cousins in Canada, Braulins, Italy and Switzerland. Fredo will also be missed by his close lifelong friends. As a founding member of the Fogolar Furlan Club, he was proud of his contribution to the building of the Club. Fredo participated and won many Bocce tournaments. His life work as a plasterer is seen in many businesses and homes in Windsor. He was a member of the Allied Plasters/Painters Union. His tomato, lettuce and geranium gardens, which flourished at his home over the years, will miss his loving hands. He loved his family, friends, opera music, and his favorite Udinese soccer club. The family is thankful for the care given to Fredo by Dr. Ziter, Dr. Morsi, and the doctors and nursing staff of 4 North at Windsor Regional Hospital-Metropolitan Campus. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers will be held at 4:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd.) from 10 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11 am. Entombment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
