Obituary of Giuseppina Carlini

CARLINI, Giuseppina (nee Diana) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of a loving wife, mother, and Nonna on August 23, 2015 at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare surrounded by her loving family at the age of 87. Beloved wife of 66 years to Matteo. Loving and devoted mother to Sara and husband Amedeo Falconio, Joe and wife Jeri Anne Carlini, Nadia and husband Thomas Bezaire, and predeceased by children Maddalena (Lana) Loreto (2005), and Sonya Dumouchelle (2006). Cherished Nonna to 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to the late Antonio Diana (2014) and surviving wife Italia, and Leonardo Diana and wife Renata. Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. Giuseppina was very proud of her family, especially her grandchildren. She demonstrated that pride through her cooking and baking abilities. She always made sure that no one left her home hungry. Giuseppina was very devoted to her faith which she attributed to be instrumental in the well-being and success of her family. A heart felt thank you to CCAC, St. Elizabeth Health Care, and Hospice. The doctors and nurses for their exceptional and compassionate care provided to Giuseppina at Dr. Y. Emara Centre for Healthy Aging and Mobility. E. on Wednesday August 26, 2015 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Service on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave.) for funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
