Obituary of Laszlo Ujvary
UJVARY, Laszlo<br/>June 24, 1942 - August 15, 2020<br/><br/>Passed away peacefully at the age of 78 years. He left this earth to be with his beloved wife of 48 years Valerie (2014). He will be missed by his broken-hearted children Laszlo Jr., Tibor, Csilla Parsell (Jerry), brother Istvan, sister Rozi, brother in-laws Erwin Bonivart, Laszlo Bonivart (Barbro), Istvan Bonivart, sister in-laws Adel Scholtz, Elizabeth Bonivart, as well as many nieces and nephews. Laszlo will be missed and fondly remembered by many friends in Canada, US, and Hungary. He was predeceased by his parents Lajos and Jolan, sisters Eva, Victoria, Maria, Margit, and Erzsebet. <br/>Laszlo was born in Kassa, Hungary (now Slovakia). His family moved to Budapest at the end of the WW2 when Hungary’s borders were redrawn. Laszlo and family immigrated to Canada from Hungary in 1989. An electrical engineer by education, Laszlo co-owned a construction company and managed the electrical portion of the business in Hungary. Once in Canada, Laszlo worked as an electrician at Kautex Corporation until his retirement in 2007. Laszlo enjoyed music, reading, watching his favorite hockey team the Toronto Maple Leafs, traveling and volunteering at Windsor’s Mindszenty Hall, Hungarian Cultural Centre. He was a truly selfless man who above all loved his family. A special thank you to the Palliative Care team at HDGH, Hospice of Windsor, LHIN, and Paramed homecare nurses.<br/>Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, 519-253-7234. At Laszlo’s request, cremation has taken place with plans for funeral mass and celebration of life events at a later date.
