Obituary of Adam Samanc

SAMANC, Adam Passed away peacefully on August 1, 2015 at Hospice Residential Home, surrounded by his loving wife, Gordana, at the age of 76 years. Loving and devoted husband of 53 years to Gordana (nee Zec). Beloved father to Sinisa Samanc of Michigan. Dear brother to Anuica (Jon) Crecu of Michigan. Dear brother-in-law to Nikola Zec (Ljilja), Dragan Simovic (Mara) and Stana Ancic (late Djoka) of Serbia and their families. Adored uncle to Stella Man and Viorel Crecu of Michigan. Adam will be missed by his many family members and friends in Serbia, Canada and USA. Mr. Samanc was a retired teacher from Serbia and a former volunteer at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital and a volunteer translator at the YMCA. He was a member of the folklore dance group in Serbia and was a former choir member at St. George's Romanian Orthodox Cathedral in Windsor. A heartfelt thank you to Hospice of Windsor and the doctors and nursing staff at WRH, Met. Campus for their exceptional and compassionate care provided to Adam. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel), 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Very Rev. Fr. Jovica Cetkovic officiating. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Gordana.
