I had Mr McCaffery in grade 9 and 10 english and physed at kennedy collegiate. On such occassions I would stare at the clock being in my own little world when a stern voice would ring out. "It is not going to go any faster Jeremy now pay attention". He was always firm but fair and the best dried sense of humour. My deepest condolences and sympathies to his family and friends. May you rest in peace Mr M. You certainly will be missed.

To all of you who hold Chris dear to your lives and history, please accept my long-distance condolences. I would be there if California was a bit closer, but for now, I can only hope that you will stay proud of all the people's outlooks that Chris impacted positively by teaching, laughing, and sharing. Carry the smiles with you, and pass on the stories when you can. Diane Bogush

I am sadden to read of Mr McCaffery's passing. He taught me grade 9 English at Kennedy in 1985 and was my absolute favourite teacher. Even though I never had a him as a teacher again he remained my favourite. Passing him in the halls he always had a smile and a hello and sometimes a joke. I have thought of him often throughout the years. My condolences to his loved ones. The world has lost a beautiful soul. R.I.P. Mr McCaffery.

I retired from teaching in 2008. I had the pleasure of being David''s French teacher at John Campbell School. He stands out as one of the nicest and brightest students I taught during my career teaching high school and elementary school French. His mother, Gloria, is a lovely person. I send my sympathy to both at the death of Mr. Mccaffery.

My sincere condolences go out to Mr. McCaffery's family. He was my teacher at Massey when he retired, and there was not a teacher who I was ever closer with. He impacted my life tremendously and I am forever grateful. I was privileged to be the one who addressed the student body and faculty at Massey when I introduced Mr. McCaffery at the retirement ceremony back in 1995 I believe it was. What a great mentor and an even better man (I believe I still have my speech laying around somewhere - I will try and find it so I can share it with the family)! He will be missed!

I am saddened to hear of Mr. McCafferys'' passing. He was a great teacher who I had for phys-ed in my first high school year of 1979. We all enjoyed his class and he was just naturally respected by us. Looking back now, it is easy to see, he was one of those great teachers who loved his job, and had a heart for the students he taught.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. McCaffrey's passing. He was my Gr 9 English teacher at Kennedy. He was sa great teacher and though I can't remember what books we read I will always remember the life advice he would share with us each day. In particular, I will never be able to drive down a road without always looking for the "escape plan b route". It's kept me safe all these many years. God Speed.

All the world is a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts. (William Shake-as Chris said it) I have been so very blessed to have had him as the greatest part of my life. His love and compassion for me I felt every day. I will remember his beautiful smile. He is my soul mate. He taught me many things, golf, Shakespeare, how to be strong, proper English, and to keep my chin up and mostly to love There is no greater gift in life than to know you are loved by those that you love. And toots you were loved very deeply by many people. Thank you for honouring me with being the best part of my life for 20 wonderful years. I love you always and forever.
