Obituary of Maria Calin

CALIN, Maria (nee Dodoca) Passed away peacefully at home with her famly by her side on January 6, 2020 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her husband Ion (1995). Loving mother of Marilena Eftene (Valentin) and Flori Cristea (Cazimir). Cherished grandmother of Silviana Gavrila (Daniel), Mihaela Lerca (Dragos), Isabella Cristea, Nicholas Cristea and great grandmother of Dominic Gavrila. Maria is survived by her brother Niculae Dodoca as well as many nieces and nephews. Maria loved gardening and going for walks and being outside, she especially loved family gatherings where she could be with the family and share stories. She was a very religious woman and her faith was very important to her. Maria enjoyed folklore and the Romanian traditions. A special thank you to all the doctors and nurses who were a part of Maria’s care and took such great care of her. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East, 519-253-7234 on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. Prayers at 7:00 p.m. Further visiting will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
