Obituary of Maria Rea/Simser

<br/><br/>Peacefully passed away on August 3, 2020 at WRH, Ouellette Campus, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 67. Beloved and cherished wife of Mark Simser for over 27 years and predeceased by Loreto Rea (1993). Loving and devoted mother of Anthony Rea (Erica). Cherished Nonna of Gabriella and Andre Rea.<br/>Beloved daughter of Luisa Lepore and late husband Celestino. Dear sister of the late Luciano Lepore (2015), Bernadina Mastroianni (Santino) and Rocco Lepore (Rosa). Adored aunt of Celestino, Maurizio, Romeo, Nicholas, Melissa and Michael. Maria will be sadly missed by family and friends in Canada, Italy and France. Mom was known for her cooking, gardening and love of family and friends. She always provided unconditional love and support to her family whenever it was needed. Her smile was infectious and radiated pure joy among those that she surrounded. When she spoke, it was sincere and truly from the heart. Maria will always be remembered for her selflessness in giving of herself to others before her own needs. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 on Friday, August 7th, 2020 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A private family Funeral Mass will be held at St. Angela Merici Church followed by a private entombment at Windsor Memorial Gardens. PLEASE NOTE: ALL IN ATTENDANCE MUST WEAR A MASK PRIOR TO ENTERING THE FUNERAL HOME, CHURCH AND CEMETERY.
