Obituary of Vincenzo De Simone

De Simone, Vincenzo ``Vince`` Born in Agnone , Italy on April 4, 1929. On April 7, 2015 Vince passed away in the loving arms of his beloved wife Guiseppina `Pina` ( nee Lastoria ) sharing 53 years of marriage. Devoted dad to Pierangelo `` Pier ``, Dino & wife Angela. Precious nonno to Francesca ( Reme ), Domenica ( Mitch ) , Sarah, Kiara and Giada. Loving bis-nonno to Ella. Dear brother of Rosaria Sabelli ( the late Carlo ), Antonio De Simone. Now reunited with his parents Angelo & Gioconda and siblings Pasquale, Pierino, Raffaela and Emma. Vince will be forever remembered , loved & missed by his brother's & sister's in law, many nieces , nephews , extended family in Italy, Canada & U.S.A especially by his friends , neighbours & fellow members of the Caboto Club where he was a longtime member. Vince was retired from the Windsor Separate School Board & a longtime member of the Carpenter's Union. His passions in life were his family, beautiful grandchildren, his craft , spending time in his garden , making wine and sausage. Our heartfelt thanks to the incredible Doctor`s " Dr. Nwadiaro and Dr. Bergeron, to Hospice of Windsor & Essex County, his nurses from V.O.N and C.C.A.C your compassion will never be forgotten. Visitation at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Main Chapel ) ( 519-253-7234 ) 1700 Tecumseh Rd East on Friday from 2 to 5 & 6:45 to 9 PM. Parish prayers Friday at 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Saturday April 11, 2015 at 10:45 AM from the funeral home then to Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd ) for funeral mass at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County " Residential and to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
