LAPOINTE, Gordon Guy It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon Lapointe on March 23, 2015 in Windsor, ON at the age of 84 years. Born in Ottawa, Ontario. Beloved husband for 37 years of Evelyn Joanne Lapointe (Nee Canning-Stevenson). Loving step-father of Susan Howe (nee Stevenson) (Doug) of Hastings, ON, and Drew Stevenson of Ottawa, ON. Cherished Papa (grandfather) of Jacqulyn Howe-McLagan (Duncan) of Paris, ON, Jennifer Howe of Toronto, ON, and Oc"ane Paulin Stevenson of Ottawa, ON. Great Papa of Alice McLagan of Paris, ON. Predeceased by his brothers Frank, Bernie, and Ray, and his sisters Bernice, Beatrice, and Eileen. He will also be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Gordon was retired after having worked for Canada Post for over 30 years. He was a member of the Legion Branch 12 and also belonged to the Heritage Club. According to Gordon"s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside committal service at Pinecrest Cemetery in Ottawa at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Windsor Essex County Cancer Center Foundation.
