Obituary of Gordon French

FRENCH, Gordon " Gord " Peacefully at the age of 89 years on February 28, 2015. Reunited with his beloved Wife Bernie ( nee Smith ), whom he loved and missed so much. Cherished Dad to Debbie & Ron Brown. Loving Grandpa to Amanda & Frank Gavigan and Kaitlyn Brown. Precious Great Grandpa to Aiden & Derek. Gord was a WWII Veteran serving with the Royal Canadian Navy and a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 12 & Branch 143 and The Royal Canadian Naval Association. He was a retired employee of the City of Windsor ( Sanitation Department ). Visitation at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home ( Banwell Chapel ) 519-253-7234, 11677 Tecumseh Rd East on Tuesday March 3, 2015 from 3 to 5 & 7 to 9 PM. A Veteran's Service under the Auspices of the Windsor Veteran's Memorial Committee to be held Tuesday evening at 7:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday March 4, 2015 at Most Precious Blood Church ( 1947 Meldrum Rd ) from 10:30 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Cremation to follow.
