Obituary of Agnes aka Nancy Smillie Kipping

KIPPING, Agnes Smillie known to everyone as Nancy ( nee Braid ) Nov 13, 1921 - Feb. 19, 2015 Peacefully with her family holding her hand. Predeceased by her husband John Joseph ( 1981 ). Loving mother of Brian, Terry ( Patty ), Bonnie ( Ron ) Johnston, Heather ( Neal ) Carriere, Diane ( Bob ) Fenton, Lynda ( Paul ) Hughes and Mark ( Shelley ). Predeceased by sons Wayne ( 2008 ) survived by daughter in law Helen and Greg (2015) former spouse Gloria ( Lanny ) . Dear grandma to 30 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her only brother William Braid. Sadly missed by brother sister in law's , nieces and nephews. She cherished her boys and girls who were the love of her life. In her spare time she loved to play Bingo, was an avid Spitfire, Winnipeg Jets , Tigers fan and enjoyed singing her favourite song O Danny Boy. Nancy was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, and was an extra in the movie Captains of the Clouds ( 1942 ) with James Cagney. Special thanks to Dr Zayouna and the nurses at 6 North Emergency Staff of Metropolitan Campus. As per Nancy's request cremation has taken place. Everyone is welcome to join us for a time to share memories and (buffet 3 to 5pm) at the Players Sports Club ( 1530 Langlois Ave ) on Saturday February 28, 2015 from 2PM until 6PM .
