Obituary of Thomas Karpinetz

KARPINETZ, Thomas Born in Bukovina, Ukraine, June 24, 1929, arrived in Canada in 1949, and passed away in Windsor, ON. February 18, 2015. Dear husband of Zoe, father of Veronica, stepfather to Rosemary (Desmond) and a doting grandfather to Genie and Cullen in Ottawa. Son of the late Maria and Rudolph Karpinetz, and predeceased by his sister Olga. He pursued his life with passion and determination. After a long career as a purchasing agent with National Auto Radiator, Tom pursued many hobbies: photography, beekeeping, woodworking, and cooking. He took an avid interest in clocks, his precious Vanagon, and world events on his iMac, especially news of his beloved Ukraine. Tom will be sadly missed by church members and all the pyrohy volunteers at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral.
