Obituary of Gerald C. Antaya
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Gerald Antaya on February 7, 2015 at Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus at the age of 93 years. Born in Maidstone, Ontario. Celebrated 27 years of loving partnership to wife Solange Wigle. Loving father to Mariette Hulme, Jerry (Claire) Antaya and Brian (Susan) Antaya. Proud grandparent of 7 grandchildren. Cherished great grandfather of 6 great grandchildren. Dear great, great grandfather to 1 great, great grandchild. He is survived by his siblings Eileen (Joe) Bourgeois, Melvin (Solange) Antaya, Norman Antaya, Lawrence Antaya and Danny (Elaine) Antaya. He is predeceased by his dear siblings Stanley (Pearl) Antaya and Donald (Marge) Antaya. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Gerald is remembered by many for his years of being a proud veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (1942 " 1945). Gerald was devoted to his family, loved hunting small game and passionate for fishing. Arrangements have been entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd East. By Gerald"s wishes cremation has already taken place. Please join the family Saturday, February 14, 2015 for a celebration of Gerald's life, at the Good Neighbour Club (272 St. Paul St., Belle River On) from 1-5pm.
