Obituary of Bruno Fantin

FANTIN, Bruno Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on January 12, 2015 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Dora (2011) (nee Piccolo). Loving father of Pauline Naccarato and husband Sam of LaSalle, Linda Higgins and husband John of LaSalle, Dino Fantin and wife Laura of Ruscom, and Bernadette Ferguson and husband Shaun of Windsor. Cherished "Nonno" to Cristina, Adam, Talia, Dante and Adriana. Predeceased by parents of Natale and Edevige Fantin. Dear brother to Maria Buono (late James), John (Arlene), the late Danilo (2013) and wife Carol, Carlo (Chris), Ernesto (Pat), and Mario (Linda). Dear brother-in-law to Joe and late wife Anna Piccolo, Antonio and late wife Maria Piccolo, and Frank and wife Ada Piccolo; all of Windsor; and predeceased by Vito (Carmelina), Luigi (Catherine), Maria Martino, and Carmela DeNuci (Ted). Bruno retired from National Auto Radiator as Plant Superintendent after 40 years of service. Bruno enjoyed life, family and friends. He always had a smile. He became an avid golfer after his retirement, and was a long time member of Giovanni Caboto Club (Bocciafila). Many thanks to the staff at Windsor Regional Hospital (Met Campus 4 North), Transition to Betterness, HDGH Campus, and the Caregivers from Amy's Helping Hands for their excellent care and compassion. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (Corner of Banwell and Tecumseh Rd E.) on Wednesday January 14, 2015 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish prayers at 7:30pm. Funeral Services on Thursday January 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
