Obituary of Joseph Hodovick

HODOVICK, Joseph " Papa Joe " Passed peacefully on January 4, 2015 at Hospice Residential at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Shirley (Hosie) (2006). Cherished dad to Dean Hodovick & wife Laura, Ginger Robin Hodovick & Kevin Bissonnette. Loving step dad to Bill & wife Alexis Hosie and Elaine & husband Peter Krayacich. Adoring Papa to Spencer, Sawyer, Rachel, Chase, Jillian, Will and Pierce. Reunited with his parents Timosey & Mary and brother Bill (1997) Hodovick. Joseph graduated from McGill University, his love of numbers lead him to Wyatt Company (USA) where he spent many dedicated years as an Actuary. He was a dedicated man to his faith and was Treasurer / Board of Directors of Lakeshore St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. In his spare time " Papa Joe " loved his hobbies , puzzles, traveling , cooking , John Wayne and his loving family. He had so many talents but his love for Ukrainian Culture and his heritage lived forever in his heart. We will forever miss and love you. Visitation will take place at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd East on Wednesday January 7th, 2015 from 2 to 5 & 7 to 9 PM. A celebration of Joe's life will take place on Thursday January 8th, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel. Entombment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Residential or to the Humane Society of Windsor and Essex County (envelopes available at the funeral home).
