Obituary of Olga Yaworski

YAWORSKI, Olga (nee: Rolla) The family would like to thank all the PSWs and staff at Bayshore from the past 8 years and all the VON nurses for their exceptional care which allowed mum to die peacefully in her own home on July 23, 2020. She was 96. Olga was one of twelve children born to Andrew and Pearl Rolla in Sifton, Manitoba. At nineteen, she married Walter and moved to Windsor, Ontario. Farming never left her, mum would be in her garden until dark some days, even when working full-time in the Dietary Department at Windsor Western Hospital, where she was employed for 25 years. She was a member of St. Vladimier Ukrainian Orthodox Church and an active participant in making perogies and holubsti. She will be greatly missed by her children John, who devotedly cared for her over many years, Raymond (Monika), Elizabeth (Terry) and her grandchildren, Yan, Kamil, and Tasha. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road East 519-253-7234 on Sunday, July 26, 2020 from 5pm – 7pm. Panakhyda at 6:30pm. Guests are invited to join Olga’s family for a Funeral service to take place at the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St Vladimir on Monday, July 27, 2020 at 11am. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens. <b>PLEASE NOTE: MASKS ARE REQUIRED PRIOR TO ENTERING THE FUNERAL HOME, CHURCH AND MUST BE WORN AT THE CEMETERY.</b>
