Obituary of Ana Baselj

BASELJ, Ana (nee Frankovic) Passed away peacefully on November 27, 2014 with her loving family by her side, at the age of 75 years. Beloved wife of Feliks Baselj with whom she celebrated 51 years of marriage. Loving and devoted mother of Emil Baselj and wife Tracy, Frank Baselj and wife Josie, and Steve Baselj and wife Jenny. Predeceased by parents Drago and Ana Frankovic and in-laws Ignac and Ivanka Baselj. Cherished Baba to Michael and Mark Baselj, Nickolas and Ivana Baselj, and Terissa, Stevie, and Jonny Baselj. Dear sister to Ivo Frankovic of Slovenia and his late wife Rozka. Adored Aunt to Bernarda Frankovic, and Romana Frankovic of Slovenia. Also survived by relatives in Canada, U.S.A. and Europe. Ana was a respected cook at various places through out the city such as the Top Hat, Fireside Inn, Hi-Way Tavern, and most recently at Regency Park Nursing Home as a dietary cook . Ana's pride and joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and making sure that they were always looked after. Ana was a faithful and devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. and Monday December 1, from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Monday at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church for Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimers Society of Windsor and Essex County or St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
