Obituary of Mary Drakich

DRAKICH, Sophia "Mary" August 1, 1931-Nov. 22, 2014 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving mother Mary (nee Kletenchuk). Dear wife of the late Milan "Mike". Loving daughter of Nicolai and Dominika Kletenchuk and sister of Helen and Nicolai. She will be greatly missed by her sons Stephen, Nicholas, Simeon and Michael, her grandchildren Ena, Charles, Brooke, Miles, Erik and their mothers Kathy and Asdis, and her cherished network of family and friends. She attended Gordon McGregor, Walkerville, and the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. As an accomplished artist, she won a scholarship to "cole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, received a Masters in Art Restoration, was a co-creator of Willistead"s Art in the Park, and recently designed the book covers for her son Michael"s first three novels. As an accomplished chef, she provided treats and feasts for family friends and patrons of the Top Hat Supper Club. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Wednesday November 26, 2014 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday November 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Autism Canada Foundation.
