Obituary of Lawrence J. Meloche

MELOCHE, Lawrence Jr. Passed away, with family by his side, on September 23, 2014 at WRH " Met Campus at the age of 81. Reunited with his beloved wife and best friend Barbara (nee Killingback) (2002). Loving father of Brian and wife Rose, Darlene and husband Mike Furey, Pam and husband Wolf Steffen, and Dianna Crone and husband Wayne Parent. Cherished grandfather of Shantelle, Chris, Lindsay, Brandon, Ashley, Brian, Amber, and Jaimie. Proud great grandfather of Kendra, Haily, and Madison. Lovingly remembered by his siblings Floyd (the late Annette), Bobby (Bernadette), and Beverly. Predeceased by his sisters Florence, Margaret, and Rita. Also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A very special Thank You to Uncle Floyd for all of your love and support. Also a special Thank You to Dr. Butler and his staff, Dr. Upneja and the entire nursing staff at Met Hospital for your compassionate care. Lawrence has been retired from Chrysler Canada Local 444 since 1986. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. Donations made in memory of Lawrence to the Arthritis Society or the Canadian National Institute for the Blind are welcomed and appreciated by the family.
