Obituary of Salvatore Bonasso

BONASSO, Salvatore "Sam" Born in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy in 1913. Came to Canada in 1949. Passed away peacefully on September 22, 2014 at the age of 100. Beloved husband to Antonietta (nee Tedesco) with whom he spent 77 wonderful years. Loving father to Maria Lopez (late Felice)(1995), Isabella Barile (late Francesco)(2012), and Joe Bonasso (late Rosemary)(2012). Dear grandfather to Rosemary (Mario Migliarese), John Lopez (Lisa), Sam Lopez (Jackie), Joe Lopez (Cheri), Tony Barile (Rose), Sam Barile, Joe Barile (Maria), Sabrina (Dylan Etue), and Samuel Bonasso (friend Jocelyn Aversa). Dear great-grandfather to 17. Dear brother to Antonietta Marazita (late Giuseppe). Brother-in-law to Maria & late husband Antonio Campanaro, late Giuseppe & Angela Tedesco, late Angela & Frank Mancina. Sam will be missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada, United States and Italy. Sam retired from the Public Works department with the City of Windsor in 1978.
