Obituary of Alice Cecilia Tomko

TOMKO, Alice Cecilia (nee Landry) Passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on September 19, 2014 at WRH, Ouellette Campus at the age of 84 years. Beloved wife of John Fred Tomko (July 29, 2014), with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage. Loving mother to Michael (2011), Nancy Tomko and John Barnes, Brian Tomko and Shelley Briden, Lisa Tomko and Bill Labadie. Cherished grandmother to Ben and Micheal, and great-grandmother to Meila, Lucas and Ruby. Predeceased by parents Norman and Clara Landry and siblings Loretta, Leo, Bernard and Paul. Survived by brothers Roger, Ray; all in-laws and their families. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Alice retired from the former Windsor Motor Lamp after many years of dedicated service. She was a woman of great faith who was strongly devoted to her family. Alice was a member of Our Lady of the Atonement Church and the Catholic Women's League. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at WRH, Ouellette Campus for their compassionate care provided to our mother. According to Alice's wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (MAIN CHAPEL), 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Road E., on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 6-9 pm. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Our Lady of the Atonement Church (2940 Forest Glade Dr.) for visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Committal services to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
