Obituary of Loretta Jahanna Dionne
DIONNE, Loretta Jahanna (nee Condon) - (November 11, 1923 " August 1, 2014) -Born into Eternal Life with family by her side at the Dr. Y. Emara Centre, on August 1, 2014 in her 90th year. Daughter and last remaining family member of the late John Condon and Loretta Maloney. Beloved wife of Edgar Joseph Dionne. Loving mother of Michael Dionne (Barb), Lorraine Clingan (Scott), Roseanne Dionne, Maureen Dionne-Woodrich (Jim), Denise Fister, and Dennis Dionne (Carolyn). Devoted and loving grandmother to Jerelea, Eli, Matthew, Dean, Rachelle, Erin, D"arcey, Corey, Jesse, Jessica, Jeremy, Gabrielle, Alexandre and proud great grandmother of four. Cherished aunt and Godmother to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters, Olive McWaters, Agnes Thomas, Lily Babcock and Teresa Martin and her brothers Bernard, Cletus, Frank, Leonard, Gerard and Vincent. After suffering declining health and a debilitating fall, Loretta was hospitalized and then moved to the Dr. Y. Emara Centre where her loving nature and kind unassuming ways continued to touch the hearts of all those who encountered her. We wish to thank Luke Gray, a very special friend and loyal companion who diligently filled her last days with love and dignity; a man whose hands and heart became the very conduit for all of the special love the Lord had for our mother. This same love spoke to my mother through the watchful eyes, and hearts of her much loved roommate Kathleen Levchuk, husband Nick and daughter Nickie Welacky. Our family takes comfort knowing that my mother felt the arms of Jesus around her through the many random acts of kindness they so freely bestowed upon her. Our mother was forever filled with such a simple and basic goodness. We were blessed both with both her presence and her example. She will be greatly missed.
