Obituary of Beverly Joan Garant

GARANT, Beverly Joan (nee Kearns) 73 years. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends on Monday, July 28, 2014. Beloved wife of Larry Garant for 55 years. Cherished mother of Mark (Joanne), Paul (Jacqueline), the late Christopher Garant (Debbie) and Patrick (Luanne). Predeceased by her parents Don and Mabel. Devoted and loving "grandma bum" to Brandon (Justine), Trevor, Jeremy, Joshua (Lauren), Carly, Joelle and Timothy, Angela (Larry) and Amie (Aaron). Treasured sister of Don (Bonita) and Amber (Joe). Dear sister-in-law of Clarence (Margaret), Eddie (Shirley) and Shirley (Mickey). Bev will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and numerous close friends, especially the late Roland Madore and wife Nancy and Jim and Noreen Ostrander. Mom was definitely a born leader, having been employed as one of the first female letter carriers in Windsor, Ontario, an entrepreneur clothing store retailer, "Mame"s Fashions" and a published author releasing her first book "Blood Cousins" (Cranberry Tree Press, 2014). Our family extends a very heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, at both Hotel Dieu and Windsor Regional Hospital for their loving and professional care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation are deeply appreciated. At Beverley"s request, Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.
