Obituary of Salvatore Brusco

BRUSCO, Salvatore, Born on December 10, 1947 in Calabria, Italy and passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 72. Reunited with his beloved wife Rita (2009). Predeceased by his parents Bonaventura and Francesca. Loving father of Franca Brusco-Jee (Kevin), Patricia Brusco-Teti (John), and Roberto Brusco. Cherished Nonno of Massimo, Selina, Matteo, David and Alessia. Dear brother of Pino Brusco (Maria) of Italy and brother in-law of Anna Veltri (Matteo) of Argentina, Francesco Stancato (the late Dora) of Switzerland, the late Rosina Petrungaro (Settimio), Ada Valentini (the late Francesco), Emma Chiaro (Leonardo), Grazia Caputo (Antonio) all from Italy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He immigrated to Canada at the young age of 19. He was a dedicated long-time employee with Chrysler Canada, retiring with 37 years of service. He was a member of the Giovanni Caboto Club for 35 years and will be missed by so many members and friends. Salvatore had a passion for gardening, hunting, fishing, and making wine, salami and sauce. He also enjoyed picking mushrooms and asparagus with his friends and enjoyed watching Formula 1 Racing. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed him. His greatest dedication was to his family, and he enjoyed spending time with his five grandchildren. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East, (519) 253-7234 on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A private family mass will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at St. Angela Merici Church.
