Obituary of Bernadette Dorothy Casey

CASEY/JONCAS, Bernadette Dorothy (nee Garant/Thibert) Passed away peacefully on July 8, 2014 at WRH " Ouellette Campus at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife and soul mate of the late Leo Joncas (1958). Loving and devoted mother of Mary-Jane Bowyer (late Ronald), Jimmy & Cathy Casey, and Randy & Maureen Casey. Beloved daughter of the late Evelyn Ellwood (2011) & William (2007). Also lovingly predeceased by extended family Albert & Odile Thibert, and Evelyn & Roger La Porte. Cherished grandmother of the late Jennifer Casey, Jill Dowling (Lee), and Chantelle Bowyer. Step grandmother of Adrian Keogh (Amy), Anthony Keogh, and Aaron Keogh (Michellyne Mancini). Adored great grandmother of Jordan Casey, Ryann Dowling, Rylee Casey, and Nathan Dowling. Step great grandmother of Ava Keogh, Natalie Keogh, and Haylee Keogh. Lovingly remembered by her siblings Theresa Beneteau (late Paul), Dolores & Russ Shaw, Marilyn & Mike Maddison, Tom & Geraldine Ellwood, Allan & Anne Ellwood, Orville & Marie Ellwood, Jack & Grace Ellwood, and Richard Ellwood (late June). Survived by her sister-in-law Carol Joncas. Lifelong and best friend to Malvina (Millie) Brazeau. Also lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Cremation to follow. A private family interment service will take place at a later date at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery. Donations made to the Downtown Mission, Brentwood Recovery Home, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario in memory of Bernadette are welcomed and appreciated by the family.
