Obituary of George Stewart Eckford

ECKFORD, George "Buddy" Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 28, 2014 at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband of Denise Eckford (nee Regimbal). Loving father of Tina Dunlop (Christopher), and Treena Murray (Ian). Cherished grandfather of Brandon and Athena Dunlop, and Haley and Ava Murray. Survived by his brothers Douglas and Raymond Eckford. Predeceased by his parents Stewart and Florida Eckford, and his sisters Isabel, Marvel, and Dina. Buddy was a retired meat cutter and a former O.P.P. Officer. He had a love for music, playing his guitar, and fishing and always took every opportunity he could with his hobbies. Buddy"s greatest love was always for his family and especially his grandchildren. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join together on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum) from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario in honour of Buddy are welcomed and appreciated by the family.
