Obituary of John Isadore Sala

SALA, John Isadore Passed away peacefully June 28, 2014 at WRH " Ouellette campus at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Cecile (nee Scibor) (2012). Loving father of Francine. Predeceased by his infant son John Michael (1946), his parents Izydor and Katarzyna Sala, and his brothers Joseph and Walter. Survived by his sister Mary Carroll and brother Casimir Szott. John was a proud WW II veteran enlisting in the Polish Air Force at the age of 16 and later transferring to the US Army Air Force on his 18th birthday. John was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus (4th Degree Dean Wagner Assembly and 3rd Degree Windsor Council 1453). Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. There will be a Knights of Columbus prayer service at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday followed by a Veteran"s Service under the auspices of the Windsor Veteran"s Memorial Service Committee at 7:00 p.m. Parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral service on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 8:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1035 Ellis St. E.) for Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
