Dear Madeline, I was saddened to read of Ken's passing. Ken and I worked together at the hospital for many years and spent a lot of coffee breaks and lunches chatting and having a good laugh. Ken's laugh was infectious and could be heard often before we saw him! I am very sorry for the loss of your best friend and husband Madeline. Please take care. Sincerely Jennifer.

I was very shocked to read of Ken's passing. He was one person who has been missed and whom the old group often spoke about at the Wednesday night Smitty's dinners. He always had a good word for the ladies and the few men. His wonderful sense of humor and his willingness to share his time with these people will be missed. Ken was a fine colleague and someone whose judgment I always respected. I will always be proud of the fact that I knew him and had the opportunity to work with him. He taught me a great deal. My sincerest sympathy Madeline.

Dear Madeline, we are so very sorry to hear of Ken's passing - we miss you so much and think of you often but did not expect to see his picture in the paper - it brought back so many memories of the laughs, the food, the drinks & generally all the good times we had together!! I am so shocked and sad after reading Ken's obituary in the Kingston Whig Standard on Saturday May 31st. I worked with Ken in the Social Work department throughout his 25 years at Providence Care-Mental Health Services and with Madeline during her time there as well. I think I must be the only person from PC who didn't know Ken was sick over these past two years. I am so sorry for your loss, and especially you Madeline, who loved him so well. I have many wonderful memories of Ken which I would love to share if you will contact me some time when you can. I will always remember him as the man with the biggest heart and best sense of humour I have ever known.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ken. Both Ted and I worked with him at Providence Care. Ken was so good with the patients. He cared deeply about their health and wellbeing. You would know when Ken was around because of his wonderful laugh. He seemed to enjoy life to the fullest and he will truly be missed. Our condolences to all of the family.... Rhonda and Ted Lake.

We will always remember Kens's wonderful sense of humour. Our kids thought he was hilarious ( they were too young to really get some of the punch lines of his jokes...) but thought he was lots of fun. Ken was a fun and caring man and a great Godfather. I was lucky enough to have him and his wife Madeline as my God parents. Even though I lived across the country from them they were always in my thoughts and prayers daily. When I was married in 2009 they flew out to B.C to attend. I'll never forgot the laughs we shared at our family dinner days before the wedding. That it how I will always remember Ken, the fun, loving and giving man he was to me and my family.
