Dear Joann & family, We are saddened to hear of the passing of our friend and neighbour Ken. Ken no doubt rolled his eyes when he saw two youngsters moving into the house next to his cottage. However, I am sure his anxieties were quickly eased when he realized that we were a quiet couple enjoying the solitude of Iler Beach just as he and Joann had been doing for many years before us. We quickly developed a relationship and in no time Ken was offering us use of his fridge cart to move rocks when we were landscaping and an open door policy for the use of his garage full of tools. Ken was a handy guy and always had plenty of advice when planting a tree, hanging a bird house or building our deck. Both Ken and Joann loved our golden retriever Whisky and we enjoyed many chats in the yard watching Lou Lou and Whisky chase each other.
